00 Are you tired of feeling hopeless, or do you feel as though you carry around an invisible ball and chain? If so, you are in the right place. It's time now for Awaken Hope with Kandiee Campbell. Kandiee is a therapist and grief counselor that works with women to help them process and heal from emotional events that can keep them feeling stuck. Let's take this journey together. And now, here's your host, Kandiee Campbell. Hello, hello, hello, welcome back to Awaken Hope. I am so super blessed that you are tuning in and I have the privilege of having a guest today. But before we get into the introduction of our guests, I do want to do one housekeeping thing.
50 As many of you know, I'm coming to you from the beautiful state of Hawaii. That being said, at this time of day you may hear a jet or a plane flyover. My location happens to be underneath the flight line to the Honolulu Airport, as well as near a fire station. So you have potential for hearing a siren go by as well. But without further ado, let me introduce my guest to you. She has been on the show before and she's been so gracious to come back on. Amber Rose is a psychic medium, as well as a hypnotherapist. Thank you, Amber, for coming on today and being my guest.
34 How are you? I'm well. Thank you so much for having me today. I'm also under the same flight path, so we'll get planes on both sides. And this time of day, anything's possible. You never know what's going to come buzzing over the house, as much as oftentimes they don't, but you never know. So what would you like to share with the listeners today? I look forward to hearing more. Well, I am really happy to be here. It's been a few months. I think it was on in September is when we recorded last time. Not sure when that one aired. It's months ago. It was actually last year.
24 May as well have been a decade ago in terms of the every day and what happens. Since then, I have been writing a book. Oh. Oh. I mean, without giving away details, what inspired you to write a book? I mean, that's awesome. Thank you. My life experience has inspired me. I shared with you, I believe last time that I've been an activated medium since birth, which means that I came into the world with the skills of mediumship and had spirit visitation and communication as long as I can remember anything. And that's a very unique experience, as you can imagine. And it can be very challenging and has been very challenging.
21 And I felt the need to really is more of a calling to share that experience in the form of a memoir. But it's what we call a memoir with a message where I will share a story and then how I overcame that obstacle through whatever it is, through listening to Ancestors Guardians and Guides, education, mentorship, however that played out. Wow. Sounds very interesting. I do know that, you know, we all experience things. I can only, I mean, I have my own gifts, but I don't see things. I hear things and I can sense things, but I know your gift is seeing things and being gifted with that from an early age, I can only imagine the impact it's had on your life.
19 So I think writing a book, a memoir is an amazing thing because, you know, we all need to get our message out there and there are plenty of people in this world that maybe have gifts that haven't tapped into. Yeah, that's absolutely true. All of us come into the world with gifts and then whatever our life experiences or family situation can shape that and how we move through the world. Some people call it listening to their gut and that is simply your intuition. And that is the most basic form of gift that every single human being has. It's how we survived way before we had any other way of protecting ourselves.
10 We used our energy detection skills to figure out if we were safe in the savannah or wherever we were on the globe and unfortunately we've kind of dulled that as a society over time because we have other means of communicating and other means of protecting ourselves. But it is the first line of defense. So this book is, I think of it as an empowerment guide to living an intuitive life. My apologies. Oh no, go ahead. That's definitely something that kind of resonates with me as far as listening to intuition. I mean, can you share, would you be willing to share? One of the things I've been challenged with before, not as much now, but before is I would have like an intuitive hit.
07 My gut would say something, you know, you make a decision and you just feel this nagging feeling that that's not the right choice or maybe there's a reason why you need to pause or it could be any number of things. How do people, well, for me, let's say I went right past it. I keep doing that decision and then I unfortunately have to eat the consequences of going past my gut. What would you say to someone that's, you know, maybe they're, they're beginning to really listen to their intuition, but they haven't been listening to it in the past. What would you recommend or suggest that someone do?
52 The first thing I recommend is to forgive yourself and have grace for the person that you were and you're easing into a new state. So awakening to your intuitive gifts, realizing that living intuitively is a balanced way to live life and I live my whole life that way. I make all my decisions by feeling through them. I very rarely use the word stinking even because I'm not really, it's not accurate. I'm not really thinking. That doesn't mean that there's not thought, consideration, all kinds of information, input happening. It's that my most trusted source is my other senses. When I look at a situation, I feel it from, you know, what's the environment telling me?
51 What is my deep intuition telling me in terms of my psychic ability? And then also, am I receiving messages from ancestors, guardians, guides, other spirits that may be transiting through who maybe have messaging for me or for someone in my proximity or someone I'm going to be working with? For me, it's not something I've ever had to consciously think about in the sense of is this intuition or is this me, you know, just thinking about something? That's not a situation I find myself in, but basically every client I work with does find themselves in that situation of saying, "I feel that it's this and intuitively I'm getting that it's this, but what if I'm just making that up in my mind?"
42 I hear that a lot. And my answer is always the same, it's when it comes to you clearly and without a lot of motion assigned to it, just boom, there it is, there's the thing. That's an intuitive insight, a psychic hit, you know, however you want to language around that. If you let your mind go and start going down a rabbit hole and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking, then that's your imagination, creativity side coming into play and you can talk yourself out of, you know, the proverbial you pretty much anything. If you let yourself go down that, the key is to sit with it and say, "Okay, I feel this.
31 This feels like a thing. I'm going to go with that." And a lot of times it's not what you want to do, you've got a plan, you've been working on it really hard and you have, you know, you want to get from point A to point B and these are the steps to get there. And now your gosh darn intuition is coming in and saying, "Uh, no, we're going to go this way." And you know that in your heart and your soul, that is the right thing to do. But you put so much work into doing it the other way in your mind or physically or over years.
09 It's a business situation or life situation, whatever it is, it's really hard to release that and say, "Well, I know that I've been doing it this way, but intuitively, I also now know deeply I need to do it this way." And I've done that as many gifts as I have and I've definitely done that. I've looked at the situation and said, "I know intuitively that this is absolutely what I need to do, but I'm not going to do it. I'm going to go this direction because I'm forging ahead and it's always not a good idea." It'll either not play out, it's not always a bad thing that happens, but it generally doesn't play out the way that I visualized it.
57 And a lot of that is faith, you know, just having faith that you know what's best for yourself on the intuitive level. Not just as a physical human person knowing yourself, which is also very important, but on the intuitive level, you know very solidly that that is the path. And it's interesting because it feels religious in a sense, you know, it's very strong faith and however that lays out for each individual person, which I think makes it easier for people too, you know, if they're, you know, I do believe in God and I support everyone in their religion. And if, you know, someone comes to me and they say, "Well, I've been a lifelong Catholic, how does this work for me?"
48 And I say the same way it always has. You check yourself and then you check in with God and you know that God's going to keep you on the right path and your soul is also going to keep you on the right path. So it's the two very much go together. It's not an exclusive thing to be a spiritualist or be of whichever religion. So yeah. Which leads us to a small time to take a break and we'll come back and I definitely would love to delve more into that because it's something I have been challenged with and oftentimes, you know, I think I'm hearing something, but I question it.
33 So maybe you can help me solve or not solve it, but get some insight into that. We'll be right back. Oh, Booking.com. I'm going to somewhere, anywhere, a beach house, a tree house, honestly, I don't care. Hello, humidity, fancy hotel with a sexy guard, landscape architect, a tiny home with aggressive flair, somewhere, anywhere, as long as they have child's honor, dance or dance or something. Booking.com? Booking.com? Yeah. Don't lose your sh*t when building an online store. Shopify saves you time, money and frustration when creating your e-commerce website. It started today with Shopify. I've been, had the privilege of working with Amber, so I know how she thinks and I know I have more insight as to her thought process and her gifts and stuff.
36 And we were talking over the break about how listening to your intuition is so vitally important. We were talking about, I have this opportunity for a collaboration and I've been sitting on it. I've been sitting on it. I have not been moved to make progress on it, which is usually unusual for me because collaborations, I use, I love to work, I love to do, but this particular collaboration, not so much and I would love for your insight. So on the energetic level, when you have an opportunity that on paper presents as a good opportunity for you and you are a person, I know you very well, so you're a person who is an activator.
34 You jump in and say, okay, I'm going to move on this. And your intuition is asking you to sit with it and be in that energetic space for a little bit to make sure it's the right energetic fit with you and it's not. So if it isn't, and that's really all it needs to be, it could be that your energy isn't aligning with this person. It could be that the timing of the situation is not energetically aligned. There's a lot of factors going in there, but it's really okay to just say it's not the right time for this and thank them and have gratitude for the opportunity always and just send it on its way.
20 And I'm pretty sure that you'll find that once you do that, you'll feel a sense of relief in the release of that because it's weighing you down as something that you feel you need to do. And those words get in our way so much. I need to do this. This is what's good for me, you know, all of those types of phrases, like, yeah, of course there's things that are technically good for you. Spinach is one of them. But are you going to eat every meal? No. Maybe kale, it's green. No, thank you for that insight. I guess, you know, because in my previous experience with intuition, this is before I recognized that, you know, it was my intuitive hits coming to me.
17 I guess I was my kids were little and I was had applied for this particular job, but it required me to be gone. I had a job and I made it to the second phase of the interview process. They required me to go to another state to do the second phase. When I made it through, I felt like it was good, but then I started getting this nagging feeling in my gut. My stomach just got all upset and I had the hardest time going to sleep. I tossed, I turned, I was like, something's not right. But I couldn't let the, I didn't know what it was.
17 At that time, I was just like, why is my stomach so upset? Because it would not rest and I was like anxious and all types, you know, just full of energy that I couldn't get rid of. And I said, I felt something that said it's not a good choice to go for this job interview, the second phase of the job interview. And when I decided to postpone the job, I left a message, I said, I'm sorry, I'm just not going to be able to make this, this isn't feeling right. And I didn't know what it was. I just said, this is one feeling right. And when I did that, when I would at least it, I was able to go to sleep and that not in my stomach disappeared.
08 Wow. Yeah, that's your intuition protecting you from whatever it was that wasn't right for you at that time, it could be a myriad of things. And you know, the, your physical body is the last place that it will show up. So you get, you know, you have an intuitive inkling, a hit that comes in, and that's your first, okay, well, this is the, this is what I should should or should not do. Then it becomes a stronger one and a stronger one and a stronger one until you feel it. It could manifest as a terrible headache, you could have pain in your body, upset stomach is definitely part of that.
54 And a lot of times people want to distribute that to nerves, like, Oh, I'm just nervous. I have a nervous stomach. I get anxious about new things. And you know, that can be true for some things, if it's something you are actually excited about, if you really listen to yourself, if you're not just told you're excited about it by someone else, or it's supposed to be excited about it. If you yourself, as a person, as a soul are genuinely excited for this opportunity, but have a little nerves because it's new and, you know, exciting or a little scary. That's very different than feeling good about something or okay about something, but then having it manifest in an unwell state within your body.
46 That's your body saying you're not listening to your intuition. So we're going to really shake things up here so that we can be in conjunction with the soul. We're going to work together and get you to see that this isn't what's right for you at this time. And I always say at this time, because it could be that a future opportunity is much better. And if you were to take this one, then you would miss that. So that's the thing that, that I love to share with people that, you know, saying no to something that is pretty good, oftentimes makes way for something that's amazing to step into your life.
26 It's kind of like settling for something, you know, like, yeah, this is pretty good. And then, but if you just wait a little bit longer, all the hard work you've done to make the amazing thing happen will show up for you. So just, you know, that's always out there for you. Oh, you're right. And looking back, I mean, I, well, of course you can go back and change the past. What's done is done. But I have seen many a times that I went past that, didn't listen, and for example, my previous marriage, I had an easy feeling, I did it anyways. Now I wouldn't go back and change the fact that I got my sons from it.
15 So I'm grateful for that. Because had I not done that, I wouldn't have them in the state that they're in. But it was definitely not the easiest. I had an unsettling feelings. And even the day of, I was like, this doesn't feel right. And I didn't know what it was. It just didn't feel like cohesive. I mean, I can see that now, but back then it just was like, something's not right. But I didn't, I didn't understand what it was that was trying to get my attention other than something wasn't moving. It wasn't kosher. It wasn't flowing in any shape or form, you know, all the little, if it could happen that day, it happened that day.
08 All the little intuitive hits that get bigger and bigger and bigger, and then you find yourself standing there making a life decision that you probably shouldn't be making. And it feels like it's too late to back out and not, you know, nobody wants to be turned or run away bright. That's not what we're all going for. I can very much relate to that. You know, with my first marriage, I knew going in, it wasn't the right thing for me. But now that it's long over and I'm happily in my second marriage, I know why. And I'm not, I don't regret it at all. I have wonderful children from that union.
52 And it was a great learning experience, as painful as it can be. It was what I needed to learn in order to evolve and become the person that I am. And I love who I am. So it's, I have gratitude for it. But I burst into tears upon stepping onto, we were on a bridge, so I got on the bridge and burst into tears. Just my body was like, absolutely not. This is a terrible decision. Turn back now. And I wanted to literally run away. And I hate running. I will run if chased by a bear. Running is not my thing. But if I, if I had listened to myself, I would have sprinted out of there.
38 And in true runaway bride fashion, wedding dress and all. And I didn't, I just sucked it up and got married and it was not a good idea. But, but, you know, I felt all the things. It's too late. I've already made this choice. I can't let everyone else down. And the key thing there is that everyone else was in the equation but me. Who are you doing this for? This person, this person, this person, this person. I didn't even consider myself. I was the last one. And I had no, no consideration for myself. And that's, you know, that's never where you want to be. You know, of course you want to care about other people and, and keep their feelings in mind and all of that.
27 That's important as a human being. But when it comes to a huge decision like that, your first consideration should be yourself. So that was definitely a big day of not listening to my intuition and not listening to my intuition many times leading up to that day as well. And wanting to, and that was part of my life when I wanted to be normal, in quotes, and not have all these gifts and not have all of the drama that is associated with that. And by that I just mean that people view differently. There's many people who don't understand, who will judge you, who, you know, from anywhere from just saying it's simply not happening to that you're absolutely insane.
16 And that's not something you want anybody wants to be viewed as. So I wanted to just shut it down and not, not listen and not be part of that. I did keep that door open to my ancestors, guardians and guides because they never steer me wrong. So I said, well, I'm going to shut this down, but you guys are still going to be there for me. Right? Well, I, I appreciate how you lead your life and you, you do follow your intuition and you do follow those hits and stuff. And I have gotten by far so much better, um, when something pops up, I'm like, okay, there's, it's something coming up for a reason now, you know, tune in from what I understand from some of the previous courses I've taken that you, you can literally tune in and ask the question, whether it's God, divine universe, you, whoever you align with, you can say, is this like a yes or no type question?
19 Is this for me or is this, you know, is this, I don't know, let me think, uh, what's uh, is this the right choice for me? Yes or no. And usually they say within a matter of seconds, you'll hear, or at least I do, I hear a yes or I hear a no. Is that something that is someone can tune in and listen to their, I mean, it's, it's coming through your head through your thoughts, but it's not in your thoughts, if that makes any sense. Absolutely. It's coming through in your higher consciousness. So it's, it comes in as a, it shows up in your head many times when something comes through for me that way, it shows up as a big word in my, in the forefront of my vision.
10 So I'll see it. I feel like it's in my head. I know it's absolutely not in my head, but it feels like it is. And it'll be like a black word on a white background or a white word on a black background. And it'll be really big. And when I get that type of a message, it's super important for me to pay attention. Cause that's, that's like, it's yelling at me to get this right now. But when you, when you speak to whoever you speak to, you absolutely can do that. I always ask if it serves the highest good of either myself or whoever I'm asking for.
48 And in all of my work, it's always of the light and always for the highest good of myself and whoever I'm working with. So just elaborate that on that a little bit. I wouldn't be in a session with somebody working for them without acknowledging that I'm also an energetic being and I also have to be in a space of the light and of the highest good. So I'm not just, I'm not going to just propel someone forward in something, help them on their way, guide them. However, if it's bringing me into a space I don't need to be in. So it's, we're always on a journey together.
29 I'm an adventure partner on this intuitive journey. Which is important. So all right, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to take a short break. I again have the esteemed privilege of having Amber Rose, and she is a wonderful guest because she is a psychic medium, a hypnotherapist, and she's been talking about intuition. Now, I will admit when I, decades ago, I wasn't, I would say, not real abreast at listening to my intuition. There were many a times I'd make choices, I'd make decisions, and I'd go blowing right past it, only to have that decision come back with consequences or results that I was not thrilled to have, and I have since changed.
31 I still make mistakes, I'm human, not a robot, but I listen more now, I get that little nudging, I get that, you know, ask questions, is this right, is this not right, and we were talking over the break that there's many ways that you can get those answers, you can ask it, you can, you know, but one thing I want people to understand is you can still be aligned with God, aligned with the divine, the universe, whomever you align with, and still have your intuition. You're not separate, right? Correct. Your intuition is a part of your safety mechanisms, it's what I consider the most important one.
25 It keeps me protected in many instances where I felt, you know, walking down the street, I grew up just outside of Washington DC, I'd be walking down the street downtown and feel very strongly that I needed to either duck into a store or cross the street and go far away from the energy that I was in without seeing a person, you know, nothing like that, but just I need to move right now, and would do that, and then I would feel calm and centered and safe once I did that. I've also had experience where I didn't listen because of usually it was someone that I knew that I should feel, in quotes, feel comfortable around another classmate or someone or a teacher, and feel very threatened and uncomfortable, and my intuitive self told me, "Don't go.
35 Don't go to that party. Don't get in that car. Don't be alone in this classroom with this person." You know, I knew all of that ahead of time and still made the choice like, "Well, but I need to because I have to talk to him about my paper or I have to get home somehow." And then I grew up in the 80s, so I got a quarter to call and get a ride, you know, there was no Uber, we didn't have phones, so you had to figure that out. And it was always, you know, fortunately nothing super terrible has happened to me. I've been very, very protected in my life, but I knew immediately this is not right.
19 This is not what I should be doing. You know, on the flip side, I've also listened. I was just sharing this with one of my clients the other day that recently, as recent as when I first moved here in 2018 to Hawaii, I went to the doctor and I got there into reception and everything was fine. I went into the room and the doctor was already in there, which is unusual. There's usually a nurse in there that's going to take all your vitals and ask you how much questions. There's just a doctor in there. And I felt all alarms go off and I put my hands up like in front of me and I backed out of the room and I said, "Absolutely not."
13 Very clearly. And the doctor started to protest and I just put my hand up firmly in front of me and said, "No." And I backed out and walked up to the receptionist and I said, "I'm not seeing this doctor. I will call and get a different doctor." And she started to protest and I said, "No," and put my hand up again. And then I left and I didn't feel okay until I got into the car. So I needed to completely remove myself from that energetic space. And since that happened, and I never saw that doctor, I changed doctors, everything was fine. But since then, I've heard of many instances with that particular person that did not go well for people.
56 So my instincts were absolutely correct instincts, intuition, that very primal need to run away "I have to get out of here. This is not safe." A lot of people feel a sense of authority, like they have that thing with authority figures. It's a teacher. It's a doctor. It's a policeman, a firefighter, whoever that you're supposed to listen to and take what they say as something that you really need to listen to or take to heart because they're the authority figure and I have that from my upbringing for sure. But I knew also that this was an absolutely dangerous situation and I needed to leave immediately.
42 And the client that I was working with had a really scary experience with that doctor. And I thought, "Oh my gosh, I knew that. I knew that that's why I needed to leave." But it was pretty intense in the moment to the point where just everything, every bell that could be ringing in my physical self was happening. All the hair was standing up, I had chills, I went cold, I just felt all these physical things like you've got to get away from this person, this person is not at all safe. And I've had that experience with people just looking down the street where I will come up against someone's energy and know that's a dangerous person.
34 I need to steer clear of that person. What I do is I create a bubble around myself before I leave my house to protect myself from everyone's energy because I am psychic and I do communicate with spirits and as soon as they know I can see them, they want to talk to me. So that can get really loud. So I put a bubble around myself and then I tend to have office hours in terms of when I am communicating and what I'm taking in and what I'm receiving, what I'm interpreting, what I'm sharing because otherwise it could take over my whole life. And I'm a human being, I have a whole life.
12 But when you were talking about that, the thought came into my mind, people that are empaths, that feel a lot of emotion, feel a lot of energy. I mean I'm speaking about myself, I'm an empath, I feel emotion, I can walk into a room and walk right back out and go, "No, I can't be in that room, I can't be in that building because there's such intense energy in there." How does one protect themselves or how would you recommend someone that's an empath, protect themselves when they go into spaces? It's not like we can just, I mean you talked about being in an energetic bubble, how can they put themselves in an energetic bubble?
55 We still need to navigate things, but some places when the energy is intense, it's hard to be in those spaces. Absolutely. And we're human beings and we have full lives, there's things that we are required to do. We need to go to government buildings and go through different types of incredibly long lines and fill out papers and go to the DMV and all that kind of stuff. We need to do that in order to function and we can't just only stay in places that energetically feel good all the time because that's not the way the world works. The best way to do that is to, when you are at home in a safe space that you feel comfortable in and where you know that the energy is balanced, this is exactly what I do.
54 I stand with my feet about hip-width apart, firmly planted, and ground myself completely, push my energy down into the earth, and I feel that surge of energy coming from the source light. It goes all the way through my body and all the way down into the here in Hawaii, down into the lava bed, and then sends out into the ocean and turns into teeny tiny particles. So I'm sending all of that out, bringing all of that good energy in from there and all of the whatever energy that doesn't serve that's in my body that I've accumulated from others or from situations, and I want to release that and send it out.
37 So I'm in a clean white state and then I extend my arms out and I visualize golden light going through my hands and then I send that out about six feet surrounding my whole space, and I visualize a bubble forming, and that bubble is very strong, but it's kind of like a balloon where things can bump up against it, push in, and they're not impacting me directly. They'll come up, they'll touch it, they'll push it in, depending on how strong it is or how intense the situation is or if there's just an unbelievable amount of people all experiencing an intense emotion because of whatever reason that can really push in on that bubble and the bubble gets kind of small around me, but it's still there.
26 I'm still encased in my safe space of light and I move through the world in that bubble and when somebody tries to bump up against it, if they're not in alignment with me, it won't feel good to them. They will not want to engage with my bubble. So if they're vibrating at a really low frequency for whatever their reasons are, they will not be compelled to come near that bubble because it feels scratchy, kind of like as if somebody was a human sandpaper trying to rub up against you. That's what I would feel like to them. So they won't want anything to do with that.
07 So they will just move away. Yeah. It works very well. Well, no, that's good. I mean, that's definitely a good tool to learn that you can take away and, you know, especially for people that are empaths, we can't just, well, we could, but it's not effective to just hole up in our houses and not go anywhere, you know, we're humans, we're going to interact and our families come home and they've been interacting with people and sometimes they come home with energy that is less than ideal and, you know, you just kind of like, okay, do an energetic bath in a sense of, you know, put yourself in your bubble, keep them.
53 I don't know. How do you cleanse your family members when they come home if they've had, they've been around people that their energy is less than ideal and you don't want that in your house. You don't want that around you, but you don't want to be sandpaper to your, your family members either. Right. And I, my husband is this way. He's an empath. I refer to him as like a energetic Swiffer, you know, he's, he's picking up everybody's stuff all day and then he comes home and it's all stuck to him in all these little clumps of particles and I just like, okay, let's just get this off.
33 Let's, let's clean this energy. And there's, you know, there's numerous ways that you can do that. You can sage the person, you could have them get grounded, take a bath, literally just take a shower, get in, get in that water, moving water is grounding. So if you do that, that's releasing that energy as well standing outside in the grass and your bare feet is releasing that energy. If they do that before they come inside, they can send that energy out, you know, into the lava bed out into the sea, get, get it off them. And sometimes it's, I feel physically the need to just kind of rub it off my, my arms and you know, just, just as if like I have spider webs all over me and I want to shake them off and, and, and I've got my husband doing these things now too, which is pretty comical, but it, it definitely helps to just have them acknowledge that they are carrying these things in and then changing the alignment of your space.
41 So if you're, if you're in a balanced home and someone comes in with energy that doesn't belong there, then it becomes unbalanced. So you need to rebalance it. So it's kind of a constant job to do that. And pets do that too. They go outside and they run around and then they bring stuff in and you know, if they get in some sort of barking battle with a neighbor's dog, they're bringing that kind of stuff inside with them. And I just tend to maybe like brush my dogs outside a little bit and just activate that positive feeling for them. So then they come back in and they're happy and ready to go, but it's, it feels like it's, it's sounding like it's a lot of work.
28 It's really not. It doesn't take very much time to do these things, but it does make a huge impact. Even when I bring items in because items possess energy as well. And if they're, especially if they're artistic items, they will have all the energy of whoever created them attached to them, which can be wonderful if that's a joyous, happy artist. But a lot of artists are not joyous and happy. They're working through something in their art, which may end up being incredibly beautiful, but also their state of depression created it. So you, you, you don't want to bring that energy into your home. So you want to cleanse that energy before you do can leave it in the garage for a few days, or, you know, just energetically clear it, which is a whole other thing.
15 These are all kinds of things that, that I teach people in my intuitive programs. So if someone wanted to work with you, which I know you have a growing group, how can they get in touch with you and how can they, how can they learn from you? The best way to get in touch with me is to text me and I can absolutely give you my number. I'm happy to do that. And then in the text, just make sure you let me know your name and where you heard of me. And then I would love to schedule a complimentary session to see if energetically it's the right fit for you or your loved one.
59 It could be that you want to learn more about living an intuitive life by working with me or you have a need for hypnotherapy, which is wonderful for creating behavioral change. And a lot of what my intuitive clients end up finding out is that they've uncovered things that they now want to fix. And we can definitely help with that with hypnotherapy. Yeah, that's definitely a good thing. But yeah, well, we'll make sure that we have those in the show notes that, you know, as you're listening to this, you're probably driving, you're probably busy, but we'll put those in the show notes so that you can have a way to contact Amber.
44 But I also was thinking while you were talking, you know, we are kids or if you have kids or grandkids or both or nieces and nephews. Kids pick up a lot of energy. They come in with a ton of energy, but they're also interacting with others when they're at school. What can we do to kind of protect our kids, sending them out, you know, because they, when they go to school or they go do whatever they're doing, they're not with us. So what would you recommend or suggest? I do have kids. I have four kids and I also have three grandsons. So I love kids and I do work with children as well.
31 And my primary focus with children is promoting emotional health and teaching them ways to connect with themselves and listen to their intuition so that they can avoid situations where they might be potentially in danger. And I know children are especially vulnerable because they can't just get up and walk out of the classroom or, you know, get off the school bus or wherever it is that they are finding themselves. And it helps to know for them to understand that they have control over their lives and their bodies and their soul. And I teach them to communicate with whatever, you know, their higher self or how, you know, whichever God or the universe or whoever they align with and that it is okay to do that.
27 I also teach them how to ground themselves so really quickly and without people noticing. So they can find themselves in a calm emotional state where they can then evaluate and say, "Okay, what do I need to do now?" And then, of course, the bubble. The bubble is important just like this is my safety bubble and this is where I operate and I send only good stuff through this and it's really fun for them to create their bubbles and see what they put in there, you know, because I always say to go with what feels right for you. So for some people it's going to be the white light, the gold light, that really pretty pinkish dawn light or purple energy or green or blue or orange or whatever resonates with them.
20 It has to be very, very personal. But it's been hugely successful with these kids. Which I think is important. I mean, we live in a very interesting world to say the least. I mean, it's very different from when we grew up and we both of us grew up in the 80s and was a very different time from today. One of the things that just popped in my head that I was wondering if you might be willing to address is how do we protect our kids from social media? What can we do to, besides the fact that we need to educate them and just not let our kids do, I mean, say let them, but guide them to be careful.
18 Because social media, the internet is not necessarily the safest place for kids and a lot of kids are functioning and living within those realms. And I had a guest and she was a military spouse and she talked about how she had a friend whose son got catfished. And she used that story, well, she used the stories for parenting, but she used the story to tell her kids the story about her friend's son's experience on the internet. So when her son was on the internet and someone was trying to communicate with him, that story resonated. It was like, oh, I remember mom's friend that got catfished.
18 This is a whole new arena from when we grew up, we barely, we didn't have internet, didn't have cell phones. What would you recommend for someone that needs this guidance? My recommendation is to engage in real life as much as possible. It's the primary and it starts very, very young, much younger than people realize. By the time they are interested in social media, it's kind of late to be establishing all of this. It needs to start, I mean, that's not saying that you can't catch up and get on the right page and be very proactive, but emotional health is a huge part of this. Having a safe space for your kids to communicate with you, treating them like human beings, not just extensions of you, because they're really not, they're their own souls and they have their own life path and they're only children for a very short period of time.
27 During that time, the entire goal is to create a safe space where they feel they can learn, make mistakes, explore, go through, express emotion in a healthy way, because all emotions are good. There's no bad emotion. There's only negative expression of the emotion. So yes, be angry. Let's express it this way. Let's work on a way to get that out of your body so that you can function in the world without that taking you down or causing you to go into a spiral. A lot of times kids seek out the comfort of social media because they feel like they're connected that way, but it actually creates more disconnection than ever because the kids are not in the same room.
20 They're not energetically connecting. They're curating their experience. So they're showing you what they want to show you, which leads to false relationships where you have people that it's a friend and you think that they're this, but actually they're not. There's many reasons why people do that, why they curate an experience and then present that. But the key word is just less screen time, making sure they don't get their phones until they're a lot older. I know that getting a phone for a lot of parents is a safety thing. That's how we are going to communicate with our kids. But you can do that and have all kinds of safety protocols set up on the phone.
07 So they're not on the phone just to be on social media. They're on the phone to call you, to get picked up, or to be able to communicate. And school doesn't make this easy because they want you to use screens and technology to communicate, but you can navigate your way through that and still have a safe space for your child, but encouraging them to just live in the now, live in the real space, read a book, go outside, be in person with your friends, and that's where the real connection comes in and the more real connections they have, the less likely they are to spend a ton of time in that space.
51 And kids are super vulnerable, and they tend to believe, especially if what happens very frequently is that a predator is disguised as a child, and then they think they have a friend that is their age, and that person has created a persona that this child will respond to, and then terrible things happen. But you just have to be super careful, constantly monitoring what they're doing, seeing where they're going. If you let them play on games or that kind of stuff, who's in there? Who really are these kids? Are they even kids? Because they could not be. It could be a bunch of adults all over the world, and your child is the only child.
37 And that's pretty scary if you can get at it really quickly. When you stop and think about it, that's a really uneasy feeling, but there's a lot of anonymity and a lot of what you think is real truly isn't. Not to say that your friends aren't kids, but know who your kids are, I guess, but the internet makes that very challenging. But I still think if they're friends on the internet, you shouldn't meet them in person too, or ideally meet them in person, so you know, yeah, Jane Doe over here is actually a person, not an adult halfway across the world. Right. Because that's what happens, is they establish trust, and then they go meet them because they're like, "Oh, I'm going to meet my friend who's also 12."
41 And then they get there and it's an adult, and it becomes a very dangerous situation very quickly. So yeah, it's all about communication and keeping those lines open. And the beautiful thing about establishing safety and communication with your children is that then when they're adults, they want to talk to you. So they don't just leave, and then you never see them and they don't talk to you and you don't know what's going on in their lives. It can create my situation where my daughters call me 10 times a day, but I'm not sad about the fact that they call me 10 times a day. It's beautiful that they call me 10 times a day.
22 They're calling me because they value my insight, opinion, and they like me as a human. They want to be friends with me now that they're all grown and have their own families. And that came from all those years of me establishing safe space for them to communicate and share and be themselves. Be who you are and we will find your people, because many of my clients have kids that maybe don't always fit in and they don't really have any friends, or they only have one friend. If you have one friend, that's enough. That's great. Your one friend has got you. And if you're in a space where you can't click, you can't find a way to click with the kids that are around, know that that is not a forever thing.
